Speaking at the Dell Solutions Tour 2015 in Ha Noi on June 4, he noted that the firm has seen the development of Viet Nam's IT industry and IT applications are seen as the core of the country's development.
Sharing Wettayakorn's views, Dell's Enterprise Solution Marketing Global Vice President Gaurav Chand said Viet Nam is a key market for the company, and Dell has been making a lot of expansions in the market.
He pointed out that the enterprise focuses on five key factors to deliver products and solutions for Vietnamese customers. They are IT infrastructure (servers), virtualisation, software defined networking, cloud, and big data.
At the event, Dell announced that it is No.1 in the global market shares of end-users computing (PCs, MacBook, laptops), servers, and LCD monitors. Dell said that its share accounted for 16.7 per cent in terms of end-users computing, 26 per cent and 20 per cent in terms of servers and LCD monitors, respectively, in the first quarter of 2015. — VNS
Dell launches new products, solutions in Vietnamese market
HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Dell Inc. launched a variety of products and solutions for its Vietnamese customers, mostly focusing on enterprises, at the Dell Solutions Tour 2015. The products include the 13th generation PowerEdge servers, Dell Storage SCv2000 Series, and Vostro 14 and 15 3000 Series laptops. Dell's new solutions are said to reduce IT complexities, while lowering costs and maximising operational efficiency for companies. Dell, a US-based IT firm, was founded in 1984 and has been operating in Viet Nam for almost 20 years. In the past five years, it has transferred from being hardware providers to end-to-end solution providers. — VNS
