From now through February 5 next year, customers getting a new Sacombank credit card (except for corporate and supplementary cards) and registering for automatic bill payment will get a 50 per cent refund of the first bill.
The programme applies to the first 4,094 customers with bills worth VND50,000 (US$2.15) onwards, and the maximum refund amount is VND200,000 ($8.6).
The refunds will be transferred to the customer's credit card account after the programme ends.
Each customer will get only one refund.
For automatic bill payment, a customer needs to register only one time, and the bank will automatically deduct money from their accounts or credit card to pay their bills as they fall due.
Sacombank is associated with more than 300 service providers, which enables it to pay bills such as for electricity, water, telecom, cable TV, and school quickly and conveniently.
Customers can register for the service in three ways: on Sacombank Pay application, on eBanking or directly at Sacombank transaction offices around the country.
Another programme the bank is running now is ‘Get cards now – Get cash back immediately.’ Customers who get a new credit card and spend at least VND200,000 using it within 30 days from the date of activation will get a refund of up to 50 per cent of the annual fee for the first year.
The refundable amounts are as follows: VND149,500 for JCB Classic and Visa Classic cards; VND500,000 for JCB Ultimate, World Mastercard and Visa from Platinum and above; and VND199,500 for Mastercard Gold, Napas and UnionPay cards.
The bank expects to refund more than VND5.5 billion ($236,968). The programme will run until December 31.
Sacombank credit cards offer customers many benefits such as interest-free spending for up to 55 days without collateral, allowing them to scan QR codes to make payments, online shopping, accumulation of reward points to redeem for gifts or get refunds, making instalment purchases at zero interest, withdrawing cash from the bank’s ATMs, and getting discounts of up to 50 per cent on dining, shopping and travelling.
The cards are integrated with the Sacombank Pay application to help cardholders comprehensively manage the card 24/7 and proactively conduct inter-bank transfers, top up mobile phones, pay bills, get consumer loans quickly, and others.
To qualify for a card, customers need to have a monthly income of VND5 million ($215.4) and above if they live in Ha Noi and HCM City and VND3 million ($129.3) if they live elsewhere. — VNS
