CPV Food Complex, also known as the CPV Food Bình Phước Factory, a subsidiary of C.P. Vietnam, hopes to increase its annual exports to US$200 million by cracking some stringent markets such as Europe, the US and the Middle East starting this year.

The complex has achieved good business results since its establishment in late 2020, with export volume in 2023 tripling the figure in 2021 with Japan, Hong Kong, Laos, and Cambodia being its key export markets.

The factory adheres to 100 per cent traceability across its entire supply chain, from raw material sourcing to processed items. It also adopts comprehensive environmental and animal welfare solutions to comply with the stringent criteria set by importing countries.

Wirat Wongpornpakdee, senior vice president: new business and food business at C.P. Vietnam, said: “Our vision at C.P. is to become the Kitchen of the World. We aim to infuse each product with care to ensure quality from farm to table, thereby positioning Việt Nam on the global map of branded poultry meat exports.

“To realise this vision, C.P. Vietnam has gleaned insights from advanced markets, equipped our factories with cutting-edge technologies and met the stringent criteria in high-end import markets.

“We are capable of tailoring our products to meet the specific requirements of each market.”

Founded in 1993, the company is a pioneering enterprise in developing the closed breeding and production model in Việt Nam, or the 3F (Feed - Farm - Food) model.

It currently has 21 plants across Việt Nam: eight make animal feed with a total capacity of more than five million tonnes a year, four make aquatic feed with a capacity of 650,000 tonnes, two process seafood, and seven process meat.

It partners with over 2,500 livestock and aquaculture farms, providing them with genetic resources, aiding farmers in transitioning to closed-barn farming and ensuring a clean, safe and green environment.

Every year, it supplies over 6.7 million pigs, 540 million chicken eggs, 55 million broiler chickens, 36,000 tonnes of fish, 2,100 tonnes of shrimp, and 27,600 million shrimp fry to the market.

It also offers a diverse range of foodstuffs, from sausages to ready-to-eat and pre-marinated items, and is expanding sales through supermarkets and by opening its own stores, C.P. Shop, C.P. Fresh Mart and C.P. Pork Shop. — VNS
