City holds ICT, broadcast expos


As many as 250 exhibitors from 10 countries and territories are participating in the Viet Nam ICT COMM and Broadcast Viet Nam that opened in HCM City yesterday, two international expos respectively on telecommunications, IT and communications products, services and broadcasting.

As many as 250 exhibitors from 10 countries and territories are participating in the Viet Nam ICT COMM and Broadcast Viet Nam that opened in HCM City yesterday, two international expos respectively on telecommunications, IT and communications products, services and broadcasting.

The three-day expos at the Sai Gon Exhibition and Convention Centre are hosting 350 booths set up by both local companies and foreign ones, including Japan, India, South Korea, Malaysia and China.

The events have attracted leading brands like VNPT Technology, Mobifone, FPT, VTC, TP-Link, C-Link, Viet Fiber and Taiwan Excellence, showcasing their broadcasting, satellite, digital television, HD, and radio technologies; telecom services; internet services and applications; games; software; electronics; and ancillary products.

Many small and medium-sized enterprises, especially start-ups, are also participating, looking for opportunities to promote their brands and seek collaboration and business development.

The exhibitions also include seminars on smart cities, ICT with legal and online marketing, opportunities and challenges in ICT development in Viet Nam, 4G-LTE technology, high-speed internet access, big data, and the Internet of Things.

Hoang Vinh Bao, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, said Viet Nam was among Asia’s top 10 countries in terms of telecommunications indicators and ICT indexes, with its radio and television services developing vigorously.

He said the events allow telecommunication firms and ICT enterprises to access the latest innovations in broadcasting, telecommunications and ICT, and at the same time open up opportunities for foreign enterprises to access the Vietnamese market.

Both events are co-organised by the Viet Nam Association for Information Processing, the Viet Nam Internet Association, the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Science and Technology Enterprises and Market Development Department, the Viet Nam Climate Innovation Centre and Adpex Joint Stock Company. — VNS
