HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Luong Thi Le Thuy became the first woman CEO of Cisco Vietnam on May 22.
She has also become the sixth leader of the global IT Cisco in Viet Nam.
Thuy, who has a master's degree in business marketing management from Belgium, is responsible for Cisco's business and operations in the country.
Working with Cisco in different roles since 2006, Thuy is today responsible for owning and executing business strategies for the Enterprise and Government businesses across Vietnam.
Thuy has a strong understanding of business verticals across the manufacturing, oil and gas, financial services, and education sector, as well as hospitality, SME and the public sector. Prior to Cisco, Thuy was with Dimension Data, managing the company's multinational corporation business segment.
The new CEO said she was excited to lead Cisco in Vietnam at this opportune time, when disruptive technologies such as mobile Internet, large data, the Internet of Things, automation of knowledge work, and Clouds can create opportunities and drive economic value. — VNS
