HÀ NỘI — Geely Auto, a leading automobile manufacturer based in China, has officially entered the Vietnamese market with the launch of its brand and new vehicle models as well as announcement of its nationwide distribution network.

The Geely Coolray was officially unveiled at the event with three competitively priced versions, namely Standard sold at VNĐ538 million (US$21,000), Premium VNĐ578 million, and Flagship VNĐ628 million. They feature a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine producing 177 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, allowing acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds. Notably, the vehicles come with an extensive warranty of up to five years or 150,000 kilometres.

Geely clearly demonstrated its green and sustainable direction with the all-electric Geely EX5, which stands out with its powerful 218-horsepower electric motor, 320 Nm of torque, and a 60.2 kWh battery capacity allowing the vehicle to travel up to 430 kilometres on a full charge. The EX5 takes only 6.9 seconds to reach speeds from 0-100 km/h and comes with fast-charging technology that allows a 30–80 per cent charge in about 20 minutes, fully meeting the mobility needs of modern Vietnamese customers.

Besides, the premium Geely Monjaro SUV was officially launched, targeting business executives and upscale families. The model has a luxurious design, large grille, premium interior, IMAX screen, and panoramic sunroof. It is equipped with a 238-horsepower engine, 350 Nm of torque, combined with a full-time all-wheel drive system. The Monjaro also integrates a range of advanced driving assistance technologies such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, automatic parking, and a 540-degree camera.

At the launch, Geely introduced a network of 15 dealerships and 15 experience centres nationwide. It is planning to expand to 50 dealerships in 2025.

Previously, Geely had partnered with Tasco Auto to build a $168-million vehicle assembly plant in northern province of Thái Bình, with the first locally assembled models expected to be delivered in 2026.
