Central Group Vietnam has signed agreements on product consumption with the Ha Noi Promotion Agency (HPA) and the Viet Nam Gift and House-wares Association (Vietcraft).
The agreement was signed in the framework of the Viet Nam Regional Specialties Fair 2016 held in Ha Noi between Thursday and yesterday.
Philippe Broianigo, CEO of Central Group Vietnam and Big C Vietnam, said products supplied by domestic small- and medium-sized enterprises will be welcomed at the Big C supermarket chain as well as at other Central Group brands, such as Lan Chi, Nguyen Kim and Zalora Vietnam.
“We will provide support in terms of marketing and brand building to enable SME products to have a better development in the future. We will also co-operate with banks to offer these businesses with financial supporting programmes.”
At a meeting held in HCM City late last month, the group announced its new policies to support startups and SMEs in Viet Nam.
The policies include signing contracts with a minimum term of three years with SMEs, supporting SMEs to enable their products to enter at all of Central Group’s affiliates, offering them training programmes in terms of technology and other relevant skills, and acting as guarantor to make it easy for SMEs to access bank loans at preferential rates. — VNS
