THANH HOA (Biz Hub) — Canon Viet Nam yesterday launched its 6th reforestation programme For a Green Viet Nam, bringing total cover to 110ha so far, at Ben En National Park in the central province of Thanh Hia.
In addition to protecting lowland forest eco-systems, the programme in Nhu Thanh District is expected to raise awareness among locals about environmental protection, said Shunji Sawa, general director of Canon Viet Nam.
Đang Huu Nghi, director of the Ben En National Park said "We should work together to regenerate the environment, helping to build the quality of life, preserve the green lungs of the Earth, and create a better future."
The programme was launched in 2010 and will expand to Viet Nam's other provinces, Sawa said. — VNS
