Canon Marketing Viet Nam on Wednesday launches new inkjet printer. — VNS Photo

HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Canon Marketing Viet Nam Company Ltd launched Maxify, its new inkjet printer, in HCM City on Wednesday.

With its high-volume, cost-efficient performance, the printer is targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises and home offices.

According to the Japanese company, the printer can print 2,500 black and white pages or 1,500 colour pages on one cartridge of ink.

It has a top print speed of 32.5 pages per minute in case of black and white and 24 pages for colour.

It takes only seven seconds to input the first page of a black-and-white document for printing.

A spokesperson for Canon Marketing Viet Nam told bizhub that it was a unique, totally new brand of printer from the company though it continues to produce older brands with upgrades.

The retail price is likely to be from VND3.99 million (US$185) to VND8.9 million ($423) depending on the model, and the ink will cost VND390,000 ($19) to VND900,000.

Some SMEs praised the new printer, saying they found the ink water- and marker-resistant and especially like the function of sharing images effortlessly by scanning and uploading the images directly to the destination as well as to multiple connectivity options. — VNS
