Can Tho Joint Stock Company have begun construction of a warehouse complex and a multi-purpose industrial irradiation line in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on Thursday.
The construction is located at Cai Cui Port area, Tan Phu Ward, Cai Rang District, Can Tho City.
It is located on an area of nearly two hectares with an expected capacity of 50,000 tonnes per year.
The cluster of warehouses and irradiation lines is expected to come into operation early next year to remove the biggest bottleneck for economic development in the Mekong Delta, which is the logistics system connecting production to consumption together with irradiation and warehousing services.
At the same time, it provides higher access opportunities and greatly reduces transportation costs for businesses in the South and Mekong Delta, helping to strongly promote the export of goods through Can Tho Port. — VNS
