HÀ NỘI — The British Council, the UK’s international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations, on Tuesday officially announced the relocation of its new head office to the Lancaster Luminaire Building at 1152 Láng Road in Hà Nội's Đống Đa District.

The move marks a significant step in its commitment to growth, sustainability and delivering an enhanced experience for customers, candidates, stakeholders and staff.

This modern, collaborative space will allow the British Council to improve its services, foster greater engagement and create an inspiring environment for learning and innovation.

The Lancaster Luminaire Building is an A-class structure with LEED Gold certification, making it one of the few 'green' buildings in Việt Nam. It incorporates sustainable materials and innovative design strategies to promote energy efficiency, water conservation and better indoor air quality – values that align with the organisation’s mission.

It aims to offer better services, upgraded facilities and a more convenient location to support long-term collaboration. The English teaching centre in the new office is the British Council’s largest centre in Hà Nội.

Alongside the teaching centre, the brand new IELTS on Computer test centre is also ready to support test takers in achieving their best performance.

James Shipton, Director of the British Council Việt Nam, said: "Through English and Education, Arts and Culture, we will continue to create opportunities that strengthen the bonds between our nations. The shared purpose that has inspired our work over the years has only grown stronger and fills us with optimism for the decades ahead.” — VNS
