Boehringer Ingelheim, one of the world’s top 20 pharmaceutical companies, has been recognised as a Top Employer across seven countries – Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Viet Nam, Indonesia and South Korea in 2020 for its people-centric practices.

Granted by the Top Employers Institute, the global authority on excellence in people practices, the certification is a testament to Boehringer Ingelheim’s efforts in providing exceptional employee conditions and having a holistic approach to overall employee experience on various aspects including compensation and benefits and development and growth, the company said in a press release.

Across South East Asia and South Korea, the company has a dynamic and agile workforce with over 2,000 employees and 24 different nationalities represented.

Gerrard McKenna, Country Managing Director, Boehringer Ingelheim (South East Asia and South Korea), said: "We are very honored to be recognised as Top Employer across the region for the first time. The certification is an outcome of the collaborative effort from all employees across the region.

“It is also an embodiment of our vision to create value through innovation, which holds true not just for the business, but also for our promise to build a progressive culture and provide equal development opportunities for all our employees.”

Bjoern Rambags, General Manager of Boehringer Ingelheim Vietnam, said: "The Top Employer 2020 certification signifies two things for us at Boehringer Ingelheim – first, it is a recognition of the company’s efforts to date to raise the bar on talent development opportunities and work life balance.

“Looking ahead, it will be a source of motivation for us to continue recruiting the brightest people, help them grow, and create leaders for tomorrow in both Viet Nam and the region.”
