HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple's latest products, will be officially delivered in Viet Nam from November 14, official distributors revealed.
The distributors have yet to provide details on the number of gadgets to be sold and their respective prices. Mobile operators VinaPhone and Viettel have likewise kept under wraps any postpaid plans and promotions they may be offering for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
FPT predicts that the lowest-capacity 16GB iPhone 6 will be sold at less than VND18 million ($855) each. It has so far refused to reveal its price estimate for the iPhone 6 Plus.
At Vietnamese stores, the prices of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have seen a significant decline compared with those offered more than a month ago.
On Nhat Cuong Mobile's official website, each iPhone 6 with a 16GB capacity is worth VND17.7 million (US$840), and each one with a 128GB capacity is worth VND22.5 million ($1,070). Each iPhone 6 Plus device with 16GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities are worth VND21 million ($1,000), VND25 million ($1,190) and VND27.5 million ($1,309), respectively.
At Hoang Ha Mobile store, the prices of the smartphones are higher. Each iPhone 6 with 16GB and 64GB capacity are worth VND17.99 million ($855) and VND22.39 million ($1,066), respectively. Each iPhone 6 Plus with 16GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities are priced at VND20.79 million ($990), VND24.99 million ($1,190) and VND27.5 million ($1,309), respectively.
The prices of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in stores are expected to decline further after the official distribution. — VNS
