Swedish car manufacturer Volvo Car Vietnam has confirmed that Việt Nam is one of its fastest-growing markets worldwide after eight years of operation.
The company is dedicated to enhancing services for Vietnamese consumers by organising various activities under the theme "Recharge to Shine," offering more product experiences and providing safe, powerful, and environmentally friendly options.
As part of their initiatives, Volvo is introducing the S90 Recharge in the country, which completes their first comprehensive plug-in hybrid collection in Việt Nam.
Nick Connor, Volvo's Head of APEC, emphasised that transitioning from gasoline vehicles to electric vehicles involves not only changing production but also altering consumer behavior, with plug-in hybrid models serving as vital stepping stones.
The company aims to achieve 40 per cent market share growth in APEC by 2023 and 50 per cent by 2025, fueled by strong customer preferences for plug-in hybrid versions of top Volvo models such as the S90 sedan and XC90 SUV.
To meet the rising demand in Việt Nam, Volvo launched the Volvo Car East Saigon Showroom on March 15th in HCM City's Điện Biên Phủ Street.
This showroom, built to global 3S standards, includes sales, service, and spare parts facilities, along with a new "Volvo Downtown Showroom" experience. The showroom includes displaying area, Fika Cafe, and office area.
Additionally, Volvo Car East Saigon boasts a state-of-the-art workshop meeting global standards covering an area of over 3,000sq.m that is set to cater to maintenance and repair needs in HCM City and the Southern region.
It is expected that the service centre of Volvo Car East Saigon will officially start operating in early third quarter of this year. — VNS
