The 13th Viet Nam Motor Show has opened in HCM City.
Showcasing their latest products are 12 renowned auto brands as well as leaders in transportation, components, technology, and related services.
With the theme “Connected technology for smart moving”, the exhibition this time concentrates on connected technology with over 80 models and engines from Chevrolet, Ford, Do Thanh, Fuso, Honda, Isuzu, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki and Toyota.
The show also underlines the role of technology in modern life, with the innovation of new technologies and their application in modern automobile engineering enabling smoother and more comfortable mobility.
The show offers an opportunity for 50 companies that represent the nation’s automotive sector and related automotive services.
Visitors can, besides seeing the latest cars, also get professional advice and test drive various kinds of vehicles.
Ford has brought its all-new Explorer 2017 and all of its other products with advanced technologies.
The other vehicles on display include Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, Do Thanh IZ49, Fuso Rosa with advanced bus technologies, Honda Jazz, Isuzu Motorhome, Lexus Hybrid, Mercedes-Benz E and C classes, Mitsubishi Pajero, Nissan X-Trail, Suzuki Ciaz, and the 2017 Toyota Fortuner.
“The progressive change in living standards and lifestyles will ultimately translate into a surge in automobile demand in the coming year,” said Toru Kinoshita, chairman of the Viet Nam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) – the organiser – said.
“Given the steady market growth in recent years, we should be expecting the motorisation stage soon.”
The event will also feature many exhibitions and workshops on “Lady and car” and “Technology and cars.”
On at the Sai Gon Exhibition and Convention Centre in District 7, it will remain open until August 5. —VNS
