Piaggio Viet Nam is recalling 13,000 Liberty ABS scooters produced between September 2015 and December 2016, after it discovered a problem with the two-wheeler’s frame.
The frame could crack or get warped after a long period of use, the company has found. There have been no complaints about accidents related to the problem, it clarified.
Piaggio’s agents nationwide will inspect the frames of the recalled scooters and reinforce them if it is required free of cost.
The recall began on January 20 and will go on till January 1, 2018. — VNS
