QUANG NAM (Biz Hub) — French auto company Peugeot has introduced two models, namely the two-door Peugeot RCZ sports coupe and the five-seat crossover 3008, in Viet Nam.

The two imported cars will be accompanied by the hatchback 208, the sedan 508 and the locally manufactured sedan 408 in the country this year.

The RCZ coupe, which was launched in 2010 and is available in almost 80 countries as of 2013 (except the United States), will rev up the luxury car segment in Viet Nam.

According to the Truong Hai Automobile Company (Thaco), the price and the specifications of the two models for the Vietnamese market will be announced soon.

Truong Hai, a partner of Peugeot, has opened seven showrooms with 3S designs (sales-service-spare parts) nationwide.

Thaco is the only Vietnamese car firm manufacturing the Peugeot model 408 at the Truong Hai-Chu Lai Auto Complex in the central Quang Nam Province. — VNS
