A Chevrolet Colorado model in the Vietnamese market.

HA NOI (Biz Hub) – General Motors Vietnam on January 19 launched all Chevrolet Colorado models in the Vietnamese market.

The imported pickup trucks, including the Colorado LTZ 2.8L AT 4x4, the Colorado LTZ 2.8L MT 4x4, the Colorado LT 2.5L MT 4x4 and the Colorado LT 2.5LMT 4x2, are expected to pose a challenge to the existing brands in the segment in the country.

Powered by the second-generation Duramax supercharged diesel engine, the Chevrolet Colorado models range from an entry-level workhorse of 2.5L MT 4x2 to a top-end 2.8L AT 4x4. It has the highest torque in the automatic transmission segment and the highest output in the manual transmission segment.

Colorado LTZ 2.8L AT 4x4, which has the most powerful engine with the highest torque in Viet Nam among pickup trucks with automatic transmissions, is equipped with a new six-speed automatic transmission and a four-cylinder 2.8L Duramax diesel engine.

The car is equipped with the exclusive Chevrolet Mylink infotainment system. Its seven-inch diagonal colour touchscreen display connects with users' smartphones via Bluetooth, USB port or SD card.

GM Vietnam is organising a road show starting on March 1, which will include visits to prime pickup truck markets such as Ha Noi, Lao Cai, Quang Ninh and Hai Phong, as well as Ninh Binh, Dak Lak, HCM City and Can Tho. – VNS
