Ford launches latest SUV, the Next-Gen Territory

US auto maker Ford on Monday in Ha Noi officially launched its Next-Gen Territory with three versions ranging in price from VND822 million ($34,400) to VND935 million ($39,000).

This is the fifth new car that Ford Vietnam has launched this year.

The launching of the Next-Gen Territory marks the company’s return in the C-SUV segment in the Vietnamese market, Ford confirmed, adding that Ford Vietnam is offering the Ford Territory in Titanium X, Titanium and Trend variants, with a host of features that help customers live life to the fullest.

“The SUV segment has seen the highest growth in the industry. Ford has immense experience in understanding the needs of these SUV customers and thereby developing SUV products that our customers love and are proud to own. With the Next Gen Ford Territory, we believe this product will attract the young, smart and connected customer who demand a vehicle be an ideal partner in taking care of the family, connecting with friends, providing safety and stability,” said Ruchik Shah, managing director of Ford Vietnam.

Following Ford’s global design philosophy, the Next-Gen Territory uses a new, impressive Ford design for the future named “Progressive Energy in Strength". Territory is an exciting new product developed under the company’s Progressive Energy in Strength Design philosophy.

The Next-Gen Territory is equipped with an EcoBoost 1.5L i4 engine on all versions which delivers 248 Nm of max torque at 1,500 - 3,500 rpm using moderate fuel and impressive power up to 160 horsepower.

The vehicle also offers a 7-speed automatic transmission with dual-clutch transmission (DCT), which is equipped in many models of the premium segment, helping drivers with fast gear changing, easy handling and fuel efficiency.

In Viet Nam, all versions are equipped with four driving modes including eco, normal, sport, and mountain.
