Vu takes charge as Dell Vietnam CEO

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — US-based Dell Inc has appointed Tran Vu as CEO and head of its representative office in Viet Nam.

Vu replaced Tran Duc Trung, who moved to Intel Vietnam as general director.

From June 15, Vu will be in charge of Dell's business channels, including retail and government sales.

With experience spanning more than 24 years in the Asian market and 19 years in the IT sector in the ASEAN and Asia-Pacific regions, Vu has worked as regional director as well as marketing and distribution manager.

Dell tops Viet Nam's computer market, holding some 20 per cent market share, followed by Taiwan's Asus and the United States' HP, according to a 2014 study by a research company, International Data Corporation. — VNS
