The Việt Nam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) launched a new generation internet service provider integrating WiFi 7 technology (XGS-PON WiFi 7) in Hà Nội on Thursday, becoming the first network operator in Việt Nam to deploy this breakthrough technology with the giant Qualcomm.

VNPT's new product uses Qualcomm 10G Fibre Gateway platforms, providing a new generation of fibre optic internet connection solution combined with WiFi 7 wireless coverage technology, providing a high-speed, stable and very low-latency internet experience.

The use of Qualcomm's leading technologies and chipsets ensures stability in service quality, even in limited WiFi transmission environments.

The new generation of internet service provider equipment at customers' homes XGS-PON WiFi 7 has opened a new cycle in setting standards for the broadband industry not only in Việt Nam but also in the Asia-Pacific region.

With XGS-PON WiFi 7, users will be provided with speed packages up to 10Gbps, latency reduced by up to 75 per cent compared to WiFi 6 technology, allowing simultaneous access and use of up to 1,500 devices.

Data transmission capacity is optimally improved, ensuring extremely fast internet connection even in environments with many devices operating at the same time.

Another special feature of this new technology is the ability to quickly integrate and seamlessly connect with smart home ecosystems and existing WiFi devices.
