Viettel Business Solutions Corporation (Viettel Solutions) - a member of Viettel Group (Viettel) has signed an agreement with Meta Platforms (Meta), officially becoming the first operator to directly provide A2P messaging in Việt Nam.
The agreement aims to improve interaction channels between users and Meta's social network platform and OTT applications. This direct connection not only enhances the quality of service but also ensures maximum security for messaging interactions between Meta's social network and OTT platform and Viettel subscribers in Việt Nam.
With this service, social network users will receive messages from Meta, such as OTP authentication codes and account updates in an official, fast, and accurate way with familiar brand names like Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp. This collaboration also allows both companies to leverage their human resources and technologies to enhance security methods beyond traditional communication methods.
Phạm Trung Kiên, Deputy General Director of Viettel Solutions said: “With a human-centred philosophy, this agreement is evidence of our commitment to providing innovative, secure information technology and telecommunications solutions for customers. We believe that this cooperative relationship will be a good start to develop and expand business models such as A2P Hub and to enhance the customer experience with two-way messaging service between people and applications.”

This aligns with the vision, goals, and values that Viettel has shared. We are also very interested in Việt Nam, a country with advanced technology and a high smartphone user rate. Therefore, I believe that this agreement with Viettel will bring about innovation, commitments to the market, as well as the start of other co-operation."
At the signing ceremony, representatives from Viettel Solutions also expressed their desire to expand the collaboration to 10 markets of Viettel in Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
According to Meta, Việt Nam is one of the top seven countries that the company focuses on for the development of telecommunications services (based on criteria such as total population, youth population ratio, smartphone and 3G/4G subscriptions).
With the largest market share in Việt Nam, Viettel is the first network operator that meets Meta's criteria for A2P SMS service providers, a service that sends messages from applications to users. — VNS
