Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group plans to hire around 500 IT engineers every year.
These will include students who could learn on the job from experts.
The company said it pays engineers a starting salary of US$1,000, 15 per cent higher than the industry average.
Nguyen Thanh Nam, its deputy general director, said Viettel has been a pioneer in applying new technologies in the world, and that was the reason for its constant requirement for more human resources in new areas.
“We are in need of human resources for big projects in Big Data, artificial intelligence (AI), aerospace technology, and applied mathematics.
“Young people have the opportunity to become directors of product groups and Viettel offices in provinces and cities as well abroad after just one year.”
Viettel is one of the best places to work in the Vietnamese IT sector, according to the latest study by jobs company Anphabe and market research company Intage. It seeks to become a leader of the digital transformation process in Viet Nam, and has poured a lot of money into products, services and solutions required for e-governance and smart cities.— VNS
