Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has recently made several requests regarding the organisation of the Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2018 (ABU Robocon 2018), scheduled for August 26 in the northern province of Ninh Binh.
It will be the third year Viet Nam has organised the event.
Specifically, he asked Viet Nam Television to partner with the provincial People’s Committee and concerned units to hold the competition in line with regulations, ensuring upmost safety and effectiveness.
According to the organising board, the theme of the competition is inspired by the Vietnamese folk game nem con (throwing ball through the ring).
Participating teams will be required to design unique and colourful balls that require accuracy, technique and skill. — VNS
