HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Organisations and individuals specialising in technology are attending Techmart Hanoi being held at the My Dinh Indoor Athletics Gymnasium until Sunday.

Speaking at the opening ceremony on Thursday, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan said that the tech market had been on the rise since the Prime Minister approved a project on developing it 2005.

"This is an important activity in the community of science and technology to boost the development of enterprises," he said. "The ministry will develop a network on tech transfer and tech assessment, and is expected to build a tech transfer centre in Ha Noi and HCM City."

Techmart Ha Noi focuses on mechanics and machine building, automation, information technology, telecommunications and tech used in agriculture.

Besides attracting local participants, the mart has also attracted the innovative Czech firm Advanced Materials JTJ, English company Nvd Juran and European Chamber of Commerce in Viet Nam (EuroCham). — VNS
