HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Samsung announced record sales of its new Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones on the opening day last week.
Without divulging numbers, the company said the turnover of the S7 and S7 Edge was three times the comparable number for the S6 and S6 Edge.
This is the highest record ever, the company said.
The company added that pre-orders exceeded its expectations, and the biggest challenge now is to fully meet the demand in the market.
The gold model was the best selling, accounting for over 50 per cent of sales on the first day.
Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge cost VNĐ15,990 (US$733) million and VNĐ18,490 million ($848) respectively. — VNS
