HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Nova Communication and Technology Corporation (NovaAds) officially announced the arrival of Novanet, the first contextual advertising network in Viet Nam, on Thursday in Ha Noi.

Novanet can recognise the content of websites, analyse the information and select advertisements to display which are well matched to the site.

For example, when users are reading articles on the educational section of a website, advertisements about studying online or taking a degree in business management might appear.

Novanet will help advertisers target customers, increasing the efficiency of advertising and protecting company brands.

It first joined the advertising network market in November 2012. Up until July this year, its network gathered 300 websites with diverse content on entertainment, social issues, health, education, technology and so on.

There are four advertising formats for advertisers: Text Ads (providing information with characters and images, helping customers recognize products and services right after seeing the advertisements), Banner Ads (using static and moving images to attract the attention of the customers, helping the advertisers build and expand their brands), Mobile Ads (advertisements on mobile phones) and Rich Media (interactive advertisements, integrating images, sounds and uploading them on the Internet).

The network attracted 80 per cent of internet users in Viet Nam with 1.5 billions views one month.

Using Novanet, advertisers choose topics and key words for their advertisements. They can also select or change websites to fit the contents of the advertisements.

Advertisers can choose two ways to pay for NovaAds: cost per click (CPC, only pay when customers click on the advertisements) and cost per impression (CPM, will pay every time advertisements appear on the websites). — VNS
