HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Nine technology start-ups in the Silicon Valley Vietnam Project recently completed their four-month-long preparations and have entered the market.
The project, launched by the Ministry of Science and Technology last October, aims to attract investments to build successful science and technology companies and help start-ups to upgrade their products.
Each participating business receives a venture investment of US$10,000. In the project, young founders of start-ups are trained in skills needed to attract investment and manage the companies.
On Demo Day held on October 4 in Ha Noi, the enterprises presented the history of the companies, their achievements and strategies to occupy the market.
According to the ministry, the event was not only beneficial for start-ups and investors, but also marked the beginning of its technology commercialisation project following the Silicon Valley model in the United States.
Thach Le Anh, founder of the project, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that in order to create a sustainable ecosystem, the start-up community builders and start-ups have to take risks and overcome difficulties. — VNS
