HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Microsoft Corporation of the United States has agreed to designate The Gioi Di Dong (Mobile World) Joint Stock Company, Viet Nam's giant retailer, as its strategic partner in the country.

Under the framework of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed in HCM City on December 1, Microsoft will also collaborate with Mobile World to strongly promote the distribution of 100% genuine and authorised products in the two big cities of Ha Noi and HCM.

At the signing ceremony, Tran Kinh Doanh, Mobile World JSC general director, said the MOU would enable Vietnamese users to experience the quality devices and services that they deserve.

Vu Minh Tri, Microsoft Vietnam general director, agreed, saying his company's collaboration with Mobile World was expected to change Vietnamese consumer habits and get them used to using copyrighted products of international quality.

Established in 1975, Microsoft provides software, services and solutions for enterprises and individuals.

Established at HCM City in 2004, Mobile World is one of Viet Nam's biggest digital device retailers, with more than 300 stores across the country. — VNS
