Ministry appoints new MobiFone deputy general directors


The information and communications ministry recently appointed four deputy general directors of the MobiFone Corporation.

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Ministry of Information and Communications recently appointed four deputy general directors of the MobiFone Corporation.

Among them, Nguyen Dang Nguyen was former deputy general director of MobiFone before the Vietnam Mobile Telecom Service Company (VMS) became the MobiFone Corporation.

The remaining three new deputy general directors are Nguyen Manh Hung, director of MobiFone's added value service centre; Nguyen Van Vinh, director of its Centre VI (including nine central and southern provinces); and Nguyen Bao Long, director of its quality testing centre.

Nguyen will be in charge of price quotes, sales, customer service and international business, and Hung will be responsible for communications and added value service businesses. Vinh will be responsible for managing network investment and development, and Long will take care of information technology infrastructure investment and development, price calculations, IT software and solutions, and research activities.

MobiFone, the second largest Vietnamese mobile service operator, aims to earn more than VND100 trillion (US$4.76 billion) in revenue by 2020. — VNS
