HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Lazada and 123Pay have announced a deal that will allow Lazada's customers to pay online through 123Pay.

The deal will "bring buyers an online payment solution that is fast, simple and safe, avoiding troubles when paying by cash or transferring money," Truong Cam Thanh, Executive Director of 123Pay, said.

The Cash on Delivery mode of payment carries many risks for e-commerce enterprises, including buyers returning the products or money being lost during delivery, Thanh said.

This mode of payment is also inconvenient for customers, she said.

The deal aims to make use of the advantages of the two firms, enabling merchants and customers to minimise risks in trade, payment and delivery and reduce transportation costs and losses.

123Pay allows payment using automated teller machines (ATM); the Internet banking services of domestic banks; and VISA, MasterCard and JCB cards. — VNS
