HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The two latest smartphones from South Korea's Samsung Corporation—Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge—will be available for sale in Viet Nam from April 11.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will be sold for VND16.59 million (US$790) and VND19.99 million ($951.9), respectively. Products sold during the initial days will be available in three different colours and have a memory capacity of 32GB.

The new products have different designs compared with others Galaxy S mobile phones. Plastic covers have been replaced with metal frames for a Gorilla Glass 4 on both the front and the back. The Galaxy S6 Edge will have a screen that curves two ways.

At the moment, the FPT Shop and The Gioi Di Dong (Mobile World)—two of the largest mobile phone retailers in Viet Nam—have announced the sale of the latest smartphones on their official websites, and are offering promotions to users who order the phones.

Earlier, the South Korean firm had organised an event to introduce the smartphones in Singapore on April 1. The products will also be available for sale in other Southeast Asian regions, such as Thailand, Myanmar and Laos. — VNS
