The US-based software development and consulting company KMS Technology on Friday launched the KMS Healthcare business and software development centre in Viet Nam.
KMS Healthcare employs 400 engineers and software developers working in two offices in HCM City and Da Nang and focuses on healthcare software services and products.
The establishment of the KMS Healthcare software service development centre in Viet Nam is aimed at providing advanced technical services and software applications that help solve the healthcare sector’s most challenging problems.
On this occasion, KMS Healthcare and Fulbright University Vietnam signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support education and promote entrepreneurship.
KMS will support Fulbright to develop high-quality talented employees by providing specialised reports and information.
The two sides also committed to participate in community activities to improve the quality of life and healthcare, and support Viet Nam’s sustainable development goals.
Software technology is influencing every area of healthcare, including care coordination, appointment scheduling, hospital bill payment, medical records, devices, wearables, analytics, and sophisticated decision support.
With a 30 per cent increase in its revenue and staff in 2022, KMS Healthcare now provides services and technology that impact millions of patients and more than 100 million medical visits in the US market via approximately 50 integrated platforms.
“In addition to growing our US client base and launching a software platform for the US market, we aspire to explore the Vietnamese market and develop innovative product solutions for the medical and healthcare sectors,” said Mikael Öhman, CEO of KMS Healthcare.
“This effort is still in a conceptual phase, but with Viet Nam’s large and rapidly developing economy, there will be plenty of prospects for local software providers to grow,” Öhman said.
Phong Bui, head of KMS Healthcare in Viet Nam, said, “We anticipate more than 20 per cent annual growth and hope to employ more than 1,000 people in the not-too-distant future.” — VNS
