Global cyber-security company Kaspersky has announced the appointment of Asia Pacific’s leading distributor of cloud solutions and services, rhipe, as its managed service provider distributor for Southeast Asia.

Founded in 2003, rhipe provides licensing, business development and knowledge services that help service providers, system integrators and software vendors accelerate the adoption of the cloud by end customers.

rhipe is continuing to expand its presence in the region, and bringing new and innovative cloud products to existing partners and markets.

Yeo Siang Tiong, Kaspersky’s general manager for Southeast Asia, said, “Outsourcing cyber-security is fast becoming a chosen road for Southeast Asia’s SMBs and enterprises alike to effectively secure their digitisation efforts.

“We are excited to partner with rhipe to boost our MSP (managed service provider) business in the region. Through this partnership, we expect to provide more partners with a seamless cloud business eco-system, improved profitability as well as value-added IT security offerings and exceptional service to help them beat the competition in our current crowded MSP market.

“Combining the extensive reach and technical expertise of rhipe with our solid reputation and quality enterprise solutions, we see this as a major step to help guard more businesses against cybercriminals.”

Kaspersky’s IT security solutions have received multiple awards, and have over 400 million users and 250,000 corporate clients.

Dominic O’Hanlon, CEO of rhipe, said: “As one of the leading endpoint security vendors, Kaspersky continues to improve its market position with a comprehensive security portfolio of endpoint protection solutions. The addition of Kaspersky to the rhipe vendor portfolio helps us expand the security solutions we offer to our partners and their end customers.” — VNS
