HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The I Move Co., Ltd introduced a mobile taxi booking application called iMove on July 15.

Besides the app, which can be downloaded on mobile operating systems such as Android, iOS and Windows, the company has also launched its taxi booking website at imovecorp.com with similar services.

Director of I Move Truong Trong Hao said it was the right time for iMove to be launched as many taxi companies were facing challenges from a controversial taxi booking app, which has been banned in several countries.

"The company will work directly with taxi companies legally and overtly, acting as a bridge between the taxi companies and users through the iMove app," Hao said.

Mobile taxi apps currently being operated in Viet Nam include Uber, Grabtaxi and the newly released Vinasun Taxi of Vinasun Corporation. — VNS
