HA NOI (Biz Hub)— Bui Quang Ngoc has been appointed the fourth CEO of the FPT Corporation, replacing Truong Gia Binh, who is also chairman of the management board. The decision was made in a meeting of the management board on Wednesday.

Ngoc, born in 1956, is one of 13 founders of the corporation. During 1995-2009, he held many high positions at the corporation such as deputy general director in charge of information technology section and director of the FPT Software Solutions Company.

"My understanding of FPT and experience in management of the corporation gives me advantages in taking on the new role," Ngoc said.

FPT Corporation, founded in 1988, is the leading information and communication technology company in Viet Nam. It had revenue of more than US$1.2 billion in 2012.

FPT specilises in software development, information technology services distribution and making and retailing information technology products. — VNS
