Flappy Bird's publisher shakes hands with Japanese game developer


The company that created Flappy Bird, .GEARS, is reported to have worked with Obokaidem, a Japanese developer, on a new game.

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The company that created Flappy Bird, .GEARS, is reported to have worked with Obokaidem, a Japanese developer, on a new game according to online newspaper Vnexpress.

The first co-developed app to be released is entitled "N Project" and scheduled to be released within this year on the iOS platform.

Both companies are indie mobile game developers.

Obokaidem has a similar style with .GEARS's products by producing simple 8-bit games with cute characters.

.GEARS (dotGEARS) is an Internet-based company, which produces and publishes bite-sized mobile games.

The company's most famous game Flappy Bird, was released in May, 2013 and gained global popularity in January, 2014.

.GEARS's latest game Swing Copters 2, was released globally but excluded Viet Nam.

Obokaidem is a Japanese multi-platform games developer, producing game both for computers and mobilephones.

Its most famous product is "Green the Planet". Obokaidem's newest game, called Pick-Xell, was released in December, 2015. — VNS
