HA NOI (Biz Hub) — More than 30 leaders of top international electronics manufacturers are gathering for the fourth meeting of the Smart TV Alliance (STA).
These firms include Toshiba, LG and Panasonic and the meeting will be held at F-Ville building of FPT Software at the Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park in Ha Noi.
This is the first time that STA's meeting has been organised in Viet Nam. A member of STA since February 2013, FPT Software has been selected as a partner to build and carry out application stores on cloud computing infrastructure for smart TVs. The Vietnamese company will take part in discussions on all issues of the alliance.
Participants will discuss technology development strategy and orientation of software tools and the organisation's application portal.
FPT Software general director Nguyen Thanh Lam said he hoped STA will recognise the potential of the market as well as the ability of young Vietnamese developers in developing application stores for smart TVs.
At the meeting, the firm will suggest the launch of a contest on smart TV applications programming in Viet Nam to seek young talents and made-in-Viet Nam applications for STA's brands.
The conference will wrap up on February 20. — VNS
