HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Viet Nam has been among the top 20 emerging markets on Dell's radar, according to Dell Indochina Managing Director K. Anothai Wettayakorn.
Speaking at the Dell Solutions Tour 2015 in Ha Noi on June 4, he noted that the firm has seen the development of Viet Nam's IT industry and IT applications are seen as the core of the country's development.
Sharing Wettayakorn's views, Dell's Enterprise Solution Marketing Global Vice President Gaurav Chand said Viet Nam is a key market for the company, and Dell has been making a lot of expansions in the market.
He pointed out that the enterprise focuses on five key factors to deliver products and solutions for Vietnamese customers. They are IT infrastructure (servers), virtualisation, software defined networking, cloud, and big data.
At the event, Dell announced that it is No.1 in the global market shares of end-users computing (PCs, MacBook, laptops), servers, and LCD monitors. Dell said that its share accounted for 16.7 per cent in terms of end-users computing, 26 per cent and 20 per cent in terms of servers and LCD monitors, respectively, in the first quarter of 2015. — VNS
