(Biz Hub) — Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai asked the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) to complete the Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung's draft decision on the imports of products on the banned second-hand information technology products list.
The Deputy Prime Minster also asked MIC to work with the Government Office to check and complete the draft and submit it to the Prime Minister to enforce this month.
Previously, the MIC issued Circular No 31/2015/TT-BTTTT, which provides guidelines for the implementation of Decree No 187/2013/ND-CP, stipulating the import of second-hand information technology (IT) products.
Second-hand IT products which were prohibited from December 15 include used laptops, tablets, mobile phones, speakers, digital and television cameras, pocket radio cassette, floppy disk drives, flash disk drives, as well as LCD and LED screens. — VNS
