HCM CITY (Biz Hub) – Technology media and research company IDG will give away its annual ASEAN awards to 28 outstanding chief information officers and chief security officers around the region at a function in HCM Citytonight.

Twenty CIOs and eight CSOs are expected to be honoured for their achievements in IT management, contributions to and practical initiatives for business development, and contribution to national development.

Nine CIOs and one CSO are from Viet Nam, and the rest from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Thailand.

They are chosen by a panel of judges made up of eminent CIOs and information technology experts working for public agencies and companies in Viet Nam.

The Best Choice Product Award will be also given away for 18 outstanding technological products and services.

As part of the event, more than 300 IT experts will discuss the most pressing challenges faced by the industry at a conference at the Sheraton Hotel.

This is for the ninth year that the awards are being given. — VNS
