HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — The ACE Life Insurance Company Ltd in HCM City launched a new electronic sales management and recruitment tool on Thursday that offers a mobile-payment option.It is the first company in Viet Nam to offer such software on mobile devices.

The eSmart allows mobile devices to connect with ACE's database for end-to-end sales, and helps the company's staff to better manage client accounts.

The new e-tool is expected to improve the professionalism and efficiency of ACE's account  representatives.

A representative of the company, who declined to give specifics about the new tool, told Viet Nam News that it had cost "millions of US dollars".

Lam Hai Tuan, chairman and country president of ACE Life Viet Nam, said that besides the high investment for the e-tool, the company's IT staff had worked hard to ensure that the new tool would be applied in the most efficient way.

Tuan said the new system would help account representatives and customers save time and money as they can now make payments through their mobile phones.

Initially, the new e-tool will be run on Apple's iOS operating system. After that, it will be deployed on Android operating systems used on mobile devices like those made by Nokia and Samsung.

The company said that it hoped most of its products and procedures would be carried out via eSmart by 2014.

However, both eSmart and traditional methods of payment will continue, he said. — VNS
