Technology company ABB on Thursday organised food and beverage customer day with the theme “Digitalization-led Transformation in Food and Beverage”.

The company said energy and the fourth industrial revolution are reshaping the global industrial structure.

Digital technologies represented by the Internet of things, cloud computing, big data and mobile communication are driving the transformation and upgrade of various industries, it said.

It launched ABB Ability, which provides a future-oriented platform that integrates digital products, systems and services.

It also showcased technologies for food and beverages through a seminar and exhibition.

Attendees discussed topical issues like challenges facing energy, quality, safety and efficiency and solutions to them.
