As tourism thrives, boutique hotels have become the new trend at destinations that attract foreign visitors, such as Phu Quoc island, Da Nang, Nha Trang and Da Lat.
Many investor and developers are planning boutique hotels as they are a popular choice among foreigners looking for a unique experience.
Cashing in on the trend, property developer BIM Group has started constructing the Phu Quoc Waterfront, a street of boutique hotels on the island off the coast of Kiên Giang Province.
There is a shortage of quality mini hotels in Phu Quoc island, and the Phu Quoc Waterfront hotels will cater to that need, the BIM Group said. The developer is building 142 boutique hotels that investors can buy. They are being constructed in the French colonial architectural style and are sized between 70sqm and 145sqm
The Phu Quoc Waterfront is BIM Group’s second project in the Phu Quoc Marina complex. The marina is being developed into a resort and recreational complex and the BIM Group’s first project there is the Intercontinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resorts and Residences.
The BIM Group has constructed a number of high-profile projects in 248-hectare Ha Long Marina Urban Area in the northern province of Quang Ninh.
According to a report by property services firm Savills, Phu Quoc is one of the most attractive investment destinations for resort and hospitality properties owing to its developed infrastructure, incentives and its huge tourism potential. — VNS
