Not stopping at being a hospitality project, NovaWorld Phan Thiet will soon be developed into a bright spot of technological and cultural innovation in the AI era, and will become a gathering place for leaders, innovators and elites of the world.
Over a month ago Novaland singed a strategic agreement with the US’s Michael Dukakis Institute for Leadership and Innovation to develop artificial intelligence (AI) programmes at NovaWorld Phan Thiet.
They will establish the Michael Dukakis Institute-Vietnam at NovaWorld Phan Thiet to organise leadership and creative training programmes, which will be taught online by professors, scholars and leaders from the US and other member countries of the Artificial Intelligence World Society Innovation Network (AIWS.net).
The Michael Dukakis Institute will also support the implementation of a series of AI World Society programmes at NovaWorld Phan Thiet such as building the world's first the History of AI house; the Vint Cerf House and the Michael Dukakis House.
It will organise AI summer camps for students of all ages and annual AIWS award events.
The Michael Dukakis Institute - Vietnam will start organising events in Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan, from 2021.
They will be world-class cultural and art events with renowned guests, including international businesspeople, leaders and scientists, and include the 2022 World Leadership Alliance-Club de Madrid Conference and the awards event for top leaders and top start-ups.
NovaWorld Phan Thiet will be a destination for global AI start-ups.
Making a speech at an online meeting between the two sides on Wednesday, Bui Thanh Nhon, chairman of Novaland Group, said: “This co-operation will further increase the value of NovaWorld Phan Thiet, a new destination for the world, where people will come to live, work, relax, or travel and feel like they are living in one of the great centres and have access to the elites of the world.
“With its favorable climate and natural beauty, transportation infrastructure and facilities that meet the standards of major international events, NovaWorld Phan Thiet will make Phan Thiet an attractive and favourite global destination for tourism, resorts, conferences – seminars.”

AI is a crucial technology in Viet Nam and globally, serving digital transformation and providing solutions for products and services to develop smart urban models.
The HCM City People's Committee has just established an advisory council for AI research and application.
In line with the trend, Novaland Group is one of the pioneers to invest in AI, and the AI centre in NovaWorld Phan Thiet will gather elites from Viet Nam and the world.
The institute was founded and is led by Michael Dukakis, the 1988 US Democratic presidential candidate and former Massachusetts governor, with top professors from Harvard and MIT University involved in it.
The Michael Dukakis Institute will link NovaWorld Phan Thiet to AIWS City and AIWS University and make NovaWorld Phan Thiet a destination for the global AI community.
