The hottest event of HCM City’s real-estate market during the year end, the Novaland Expo, has wrapped up after attracting nearly 20,000 visitors over five days.

Many Vietnamese and foreign investors and customers were impressed at the expo organised by the giant real-estate developer, Novaland Group.

Novaland had on display all the key property segments it is developing.

Among the most impressive sights for visitors were miniature versions of Sakura Beach and Korea Garden in NovaWorld Ho Tram in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Aqua City project in Dong Nai, and NovaWorld Phan Thiet.

As the event was winding up, more and more visitors began to come.

Linh Dan, a customer from District 5, said: “I have visited many exhibitions organised by Novaland but this was the biggest ever.”

She said she was really excited she came, revealing she had decided to invest in two more products after visiting the expo.

In addition to looking for new projects, visitors coming to the expo this time were also looking for partners to expand their business.

Quynh Giang, director of a construction company in HCM City, said: “I had two goals accomplished after visiting the Novaland Expo. I had the chance to study projects I want to buy in. Novaland Expo was also a bridge that connected me with other partners. I have found two partners to develop my business plans in the coming time.”

Positive signal from market

The Novaland Expo featured a number of important events like conferences in which leading experts and investors took part and discussed topics like the biggest occurrences in the market and investment trends in 2020.

Experts from SSI spoke about five factors that would affect the real-esate market in 2020: the growth of the middle-class, the economy, new laws and policies, rapid urbanisation, and infrastructure.

Viet Nam is one of the countries in its neighbourhood to consistently enjoy GDP growth of around 6.5 per cent.

The middle class now accounts for 30 per cent of the country’s population and incomes continue to rise, a positive sign that would boost demand for housing, the experts said.

The market would benefit from that trend, they predicted.

Natural attractions like long beaches and many beautiful sights and well developed infrastructure are cited as the main factors for the hospitality property market’s growth.

Highways are being upgraded and airports and seaports are being expanded, attracting many foreign visitors to the country. These improvements have set off a boom in the second home market.

Speaking a conference on how to manage a second home with 4.0 technology, Neil MacGregor, general director of Savills Viet Nam, said Binh Thuan and Ba Ria-Vung Tau are the two emerging markets where the second home segment is developing strongly.

At a conference on smart urban areas and green life, Nguyen Minh Hoa, deputy chairman of the HCM City Urban Planning and Development Associaiton, said a difficulty that HCM City, experts and investors are facing is how to develop an ecological urban area to meet the public’s demands for a green life.

Expo’s great success

Ngoc Minh of District 9 said: “Novaland Expo this time was participated by many famous brands from different sectors like construction, interior, banking. The participation of these brands lifted the image and prestige of the event.

“I really loved the way organisers cared for visitors who came to the expo.”

In fact, many partners joined Novaland by setting up booths to display their products. They also offered visitors exciting experiences like seeing hot air balloons and playing football and golf.
