Work starts on 45-storey Hai Phong tower

HAI PHONG (Biz Hub) — Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended the groundbreaking ceremony of a 45-floor tower in Vinhomes Riva City urban area in the northern port city of Hai Phong on September 18.

Covering an area of 30,000 sq.m, the project is invested by the Vingroup and designed by the Humphrey&Partners Architects of the US. It is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2017.

With a height of 148m, the tower will be the highest infrastructure facility in the northern coastal region. It will include a shopping centre on the first and second floors, and part of the third storey. A five-star hotel with 300 rooms will cover the area of the 4th to 45th floors.

A gym, fitness and spa centres, and swimming pools will be also included in the building. The urban area highlight is also expected to attract luxury tourism, shopping and entertainment in Hai Phong City. The Vinhomes Riva City is expected to become an important economic centre promoting socio-economic development in the city and adjacent areas. — VNS
