HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Viet Nam was the largest shrimp exporter to South Korea in 2014 in terms of both volume and value, according to the Viet Nam Association Seafood Exporters and Producers.
Vietnamese shrimp accounted for nearly half of South Korea's imports last year, with 27,791 tonnes, ahead of China at 13,936 tonnes.
Viet Nam's shrimp export volume to South Korea increased by 36 per cent last year compared to 2013, while export value reached US$290.2 million, increasing by 60 per cent.— VNS
