S Korea trains VN workers in design

KHANH HOA (Biz Hub)— A course to train nearly 200 Vietnamese employees in industrial design skills began in central coastal Nha Trang City on Tuesday.

During the three-day course, leading Korean experts lectured on the expertise and creativity required in graphic, packaging and brand design to suit different tastes.

It is co-hosted by the Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) under the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Korean Institute of Design Promotion,

Vietrade Deputy Director Ta Hoang Linh stressed the importance of design, which according to him, helped bring success to firms and fueled exports.

Trainees, who mostly hailed from the Central Highlands and central region, were also introduced to a variety of Korean designs.

Since 2010, the project has provided training to many enterprises nationwide, contributing to renewing attitudes in Viet Nam's industrial design sector.—VNS
