Twelve food and beauty care businesses from the Republic of Korea (RoK) participated in a conference in HCM City on Tuesday to search for franchisees.
The event, co-organised by Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and Investment and Trade Promotion Centre of HCM City, aimed to introduce RoK’s leading franchise brands, thus promoting trade exchange and opening up co-operation opportunities between enterprises of the two countries, Yoon Joo Young, director of KOTRA in HCM City, said.
He noted that many RoK firms have reaped success doing business in HCM City, which is the largest economic hub of Viet Nam, and hoped the conference would result in new partnerships.
RoK business representatives said food service and beauty care in Viet Nam are expected to rapidly develop in the next 10 years, offering great opportunities for them to expand their branch network and promote products for Vietnamese consumers.
Lee Yong Chan, representative of Yong Woo Dong Fast Food, said a quality management network that ensures food safety, well-trained staff and reasonable franchise fee are strengths of RoK franchise food brands. — VNS
